Prince George Surgery Centre is a state-of-the-art alternative to the hospital setting. The centre’s operating rooms are spacious and appointed with top-of the line equipment. Post-op spaces include five private recovery units, one overnight room, and a step-down lounge. The nursing station provides a central, well-organized post for clear-but-discrete observation.
As a fully-accredited non-hospital surgical facility, we are regularly inspected by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, and consistently meet or exceed all quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
Our patients and physicians alike appreciate the intimate and stress-free atmosphere our facility provides. Our specialty nurses particularly enjoy the full cycle connection with the patients. From the admission phase to direct care, teaching surgical and pain management, review of the comprehensive discharge instructions verbally and in writing, and follow-up with the patients by phone in the days following surgery, our nurses utilize their excellent skills across the entire spectrum of care.
PGSC is always looking to expand its team of part-time or casual clinical staff. We employ registered and licensed practical nurses with specialty training in the recovery room and operating room, and surgical nurses for patients staying overnight.
