Brachioplasty

A brachioplasty, or arm lift, is sometimes considered when arms become loose and flabby with aging or after extreme weight loss. The procedure is intended to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm.

The incision is generally placed on the inside or back of the arm, between the elbow and armpit. Depending on the amount of fatty tissue in the upper arm, this procedure can be combined with liposuction to create a sleeker, more toned contour to the arm. If skin laxity is your primary concern, brachioplasty can also be performed with skin excision alone.
