Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation or breast enhancement is a procedure to increase the size or change the shape of your breasts with the use of silicone gel or saline implants. Breast augmentation can be combined with a mastopexy (breast lift) to create a fuller, more youthful contour of the bust.

Breast implants come in a number of different sizes and shapes. During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to try different samples and sizes in order to find the right implant for you. Saline and silicone breast implants are available at Prince George Surgery Centre. Saline breast implants are inserted into the body without fluid, and then filled to the desired size, giving a greater flexibility for sizing, and resulting in a smaller incision. Silicone breast implants come in set sizes, allowing for the most predictable results. They maintain a natural give and feel more like breast tissue.

After breast augmentation surgery, the resulting bust contour can vary due to body shape and implant profile, meaning how far the breasts project from the chest. Lower profile breast implants will rest flatter and wider against the chest, higher profile implants will project out further. Prince George Surgery Centre offers moderate, moderate-plus, and high-profile implants.
